A woman from Lancashire has been awarded £175,000 compensation after being involved in an accident involving a Quad Bike whilst working in Tasmania.

Holly Raper, aged 21 at the time of the accident, sustained severe brain injury when she was working herding cattle on a dairy farm in December 2011. Holly was working on the farm whilst she was travelling in Australia.

She was described to have sustained “catastrophic neurological injury” at the Tasmanian Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Tribunal. The amount awarded to her for compensation of her accident was the maximum allowable under Tasmanian legislation.
