Young Woman Awarded Compensation in Freak Bus Accident

A teenager who suffered personal injury in a freak bus accident has succeeded in her claim for accident compensation against the bus company Arriva.
Kayleigh Summers was travelling on a single decker bus when the bus accident occurred. In a freak accident, the steering wheel suddenly came off in the bus driver's hand and he lost control of the bus, causing Kayleigh to be thrown from her seat.
Kayleigh was shocked and upset after the accident and was taken immediately to hospital where she was treated for whiplash, a twisted spine and a chipped bone in her knee.
Commenting on the bus accident and her injuries, Kayleigh said, "I was thrown from the seat and was shocked and upset by what had happened, I thought we were going to crash right into the house.
The whiplash and soreness lasted and I had to have physiotherapy and exercises, I still get pains sometimes and it has stopped me doing things. "
