Successful Settlement for Two Seriously Injured Accident Victims

Freeclaim Solicitors (formerly Tranters Freeclaim Solicitors) Director Alastair Fernie successfully concluded two cases this year winning settlements based on a total valuation of over £2 million for two seriously injured clients.
The first case involved our 32 year old client who sustained severe brain damage following a road traffic accident whilst crossing the road. Freeclaim managed to establish liability against the Defendant driver and obtained interim payments of £85,000 which met his immediate financial needs and enabled him to employ a specialist Case Manager. This year, Alastair successfully negotiated settlement based on a total valuation of over £1.3 million.
In the second case, Freeclaim Solicitors represented a young man who was 17 years old at the time of the accident. He was riding his field motor bike and probably did not have his lights on when a car crossed his path. Freeclaim Solicitors started Court proceedings and judgement was obtained although significant contributory negligence was alleged. Alastair Fernie obtained an interim payment in the sum of £50,000 which was used for his immediate financial needs and to enable him to employ the services of a specialist Case Manager. The case was successfully settled earlier this year based upon a total valuation of £900,000.
