Golf Injury Claim Successful

A green keeper who worked for a Warwickshire golf club has received £5,000 after he made a workplace injury claim.
The workplace accident happened whilst he was cleaning golf balls at the club and trying to fix the golf ball washing machine which had jammed. He was able to bypass a safety guard as he was trying to fix the machine, but unfortunately the accident occurred when the machine started moving again.
The green keeper suffered partial amputation of one finger and injuries to others.
After investigating, it was found that the accident at work was entirely preventable. His employees admitted that they had failed to provide a safe system of work and failed to provide employees with sufficient health and safety information and training.
