Bus passengers Set To Receive Compensation After Holiday Coach Crash
Wed 25th Nov 09 - 10:05
Holidaymakers who were injured when their coach crashed in Bulgaria are set to receive compensation from the tour operator after Birmingham County Court have forced the package holiday provider (Crystal/TUI) to accept liability.
24 tourists were travelling on the coach to their ski resort in Bulgaria when the coach drove down a bank and overturned causing injuries to the coach passengers. The package holiday provider claimed initially that the accident was caused by a gust of wind, however, following a three day trial, the court found that Crystal/TUI were liable. It is expected that the bus passenger holiday accident claims will run into hundreds of thousands.
