£50,000 compensation awarded to car accident victim

A driver who suffered personal injury in a car accident has been awarded £50,000 in accident compensation in an out of court settlement.
In 2005, the 61 year old driver was hit from the rear in a car accident and as a result of the road accident suffered back and neck pain. His injuries as a result of the car crash included suffering pins and needles in his arm and he was later diagnosed with a trapped nerve in his spine.
Since the car accident, he has not been able to lift heavy items and unfortunately has not been able to return to his regular job. He commented recently; "My injuries turned out to be much worse than I had ever imagined. I am now out of work because I can no longer lift heavy objects."
